Cooking Classes – In-Person & Online – 2021 Schedule COMING SOON!!!
It’s time to get cooking! The weather is cooling off and we’re ready to fire up the stove and make something delicious! To keep everyone as safe as possible we have adapted our practices so that tickets are sold in pairs (2 participants per ticket) so no strangers are grouped together. We also have designated work spaces, dining tables and equipment for each pair of participants. Plexiglass dividers will separate the stations and our staff will wear masks and/or shields for the duration of the class. Masks are required upon arrival but once at your workstation you may remove them if you’d prefer.
We will also offer tickets for virtual participants for each class – meaning you can pick up a kit of supplies, gather basic kitchen equipment and participate with our in-house participants and chef instructor from the comfort of your home. We want to keep you busy this fall/winter so we’re coming up with great ways to accommodate all comfort levels and keep you cooking! We look forward to cooking with you soon!

Class Skill Level + FAQs
We’ve added a Skill Level Rating to each class to help you better gauge how intensive or easy going the classes will be!
1 = Beginner – no experience needed, just a desire to learn more about cooking and/or baking!
3 = Intermediate – basic kitchen knowledge, basic knife skills, comfortable in the kitchen
5 = Advanced – knowledge/experience of the class topic would be beneficial at this skill level, very comfortable in the kitchen
How do hybrid classes work? For all of our classes (unless otherwise designated) you have the option of purchasing in-person tickets (you’ll be cooking onsite at Square One) or virtual (cook with us via livestream from home). We will be using Zoom for our virtual participants so they log on at the same time others are on site in the kitchen. This way our classes are live and interactive for everyone. Prior to class start time, virtual participants will pick up a kit of ingredients and be emailed a link with additional information to help you log on and cook with us!
What safety changes are being made? All Square One staff will be wearing face masks and/or shields throughout the class. Our in-person participants will be limited to 8 people total (4 tickets, 2 persons per ticket).
This way we can distance everyone and provide dedicated workstations to each pair of participants. Each pair will also have a designated table to dine at, distanced from the other tables. In-person participants must wear a face mask for the duration of the class unless seated at their designated dining table. Temperatures of participants and staff will be taken upon arrival.
Does the class result in a meal? Most classes result in a meal where you get to eat what you have prepared. Keep in mind that our baking classes do not but we do try to schedule them so they do not fall over a regular meal time just for that reason.
Can I attend a class on my own? You most certainly can attend on your own but we will not be offering any tickets for individuals. All tickets will be sold as pairs.
How are classes structured? For our in-house participants you will be able to prepare everything from your dedicated workstation at Square One under the demonstration and guidance of our instructors and staff. Virtual participants will be viewing an interactive live-stream of the class where you can ask questions just as if you were with us in the kitchen, cooking alongside the instructor, step by step for the duration of the class. You can ask questions at anytime!
Can I have a glass of wine or other adult beverage during the virtual class? Yes! We just ask you don’t get out of hand…or we’ll have to mute you for the whole class which is not much fun. We will also have wine and beer options available for our in-person participants. No alcoholic beverages can be brought in.
We plan to continue offering cooking classes (for adults and children) for the duration of recommended social distancing so we can still create, socialize and enjoy delicious food together!

Cancellations within 72 hours or No Show/No Call at start of class time will not be eligible for a refund or credit, no exceptions. However, you can transfer your registration to another person and would just need to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to update the name on the registration.
If there is a waitlist for the class and someone is able to take your spot from the waitlist, upon completion of that transaction, you would receive a refund.
